What is the difference between gold filled and gold plated? The simple answer is the amount of gold to base metal and the process used to make it! To make gold filled chains, a core metal like brass, copper, or silver is used and solid gold is then bonded to it using heat and pressure resulting in a thicker coating of gold that does not flake, chip, or scratch easily!

After lots of trial and error, we found that organizing our chains into tiered collections makes the selection process simpler—for both you and us! This structure is easier to follow and often offers more savings than the “price by inch” method we used before.
From time to time, you might see a few specialty chains in our Limited Edition collection that are priced by the inch—these are unique styles that fall outside our core offerings. We also offer custom pricing by the inch for fully bespoke designs, giving you more creative freedom when dreaming up something special.
But for the best value, our tiered pricing on bracelets, anklets, and necklaces is the way to go!
